IMWApps operates TruckBite, a mobile application that helps users discover food trucks, view food truck profiles, save favorite trucks, receive updates, and get directions to food truck locations.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and what choices you have. By using TruckBite, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect information that you provide directly to us, information created when you use the app, and information provided by your device or third-party services.

Account information:
When you create an account, we may collect your name, email address, account ID, login information, saved preferences, and other profile details you choose to provide.

Food truck owner information:
If you apply to list or manage a food truck, we may collect business information such as truck name, description, cuisine type, menu information, hours, contact details, website, social media links, location information, and other details needed to create and manage a public truck profile.

Favorites and app activity:
We may collect information about trucks you save, view, favorite, or interact with in the app. This helps us provide saved truck features and improve the app experience.

Location information:
The app may request access to your device location to help show nearby food trucks, center the map, estimate distance, or provide directions. We do not collect background location in this version of the app unless clearly disclosed and enabled in the future.

Notification information:
If you allow notifications, we may collect and store a push notification token so we can send app updates, favorite truck updates, nearby truck alerts, or other notifications you choose to receive.

Device and technical information:
We may collect basic technical information such as device type, operating system, app version, crash data, diagnostic data, and usage information to maintain and improve the app.

Advertising information:
When advertisements are available, Google AdMob and its partners may process information such as advertising identifiers, IP address, device and app information, approximate location, consent choices, and interactions with ads. TruckBite does not send your precise device location to AdMob when requesting ads.

Subscription information:
When a truck owner uses TruckBite Pro, RevenueCat, Apple, or Google may process purchase, subscription, renewal, cancellation, refund, store, product, and entitlement information. TruckBite stores a limited subscription-access record connected to the user account. TruckBite does not receive or store full payment-card details.

2. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • Create and manage user accounts

  • Allow users to save and view favorite food trucks

  • Display food truck listings and truck profile pages

  • Help users find trucks near them

  • Provide maps and directions

  • Send notifications if enabled

  • Allow truck owners to create and manage truck profiles

  • Provide and enforce access to paid truck-owner features

  • Review and verify truck owner applications

  • Improve app performance, safety, and reliability

  • Prevent misuse, fraud, or unauthorized activity

  • Respond to support requests

  • Display, personalize where permitted, and measure advertisements

  • Comply with legal obligations

3. Public Food Truck Information

Food truck profiles may be publicly visible in the app after review or verification.

Public truck information may include:

  • Truck name

  • Cuisine type

  • Description

  • Menu information

  • Hours

  • Public location or scheduled stops

  • Photos or images

  • Contact information

  • Website or social media links

  • Verification status

Truck owners should not submit private personal information that they do not want displayed publicly.

4. Location Data

The app may use your location to show nearby food trucks or improve map features.

You can deny or disable location access through your device settings. If location access is disabled, some nearby truck or map features may not work as expected.

The app may also display food truck locations submitted by truck owners. These locations may be public if the truck owner chooses to publish them or if the truck has been verified for public listing.

We do not sell precise location data.

5. Push Notifications

If you enable push notifications, we may send notifications related to:

  • Favorite food truck updates

  • Nearby truck alerts

  • App updates

  • Account or security notices

  • Food truck owner application updates

  • Promotional or informational messages, if enabled

You can turn off notifications in your device settings or inside the app if notification preferences are available.

6. Firebase and Third-Party Services

The app may use Firebase and other third-party services to provide authentication, database storage, file storage, notifications, analytics, crash reporting, or related app functionality.

These services may process information on our behalf according to their own privacy and security practices.

Examples of services the app may use include:

  • Firebase Authentication

  • Cloud Firestore

  • Firebase Storage

  • Firebase Cloud Messaging

  • Expo Notifications

  • Expo Location

  • Apple Maps or Google Maps through device map links

  • Google AdMob and Google User Messaging Platform

  • RevenueCat for subscription entitlement management

  • Apple App Store and Google Play for subscription billing

7. Advertising

TruckBite may display advertisements provided by Google AdMob. Advertising helps support operation and development of the app.

Depending on your location, device settings, and consent choices, ads may be personalized, non-personalized, limited, or based only on basic device and app context. Google and participating advertising partners may process information to select, deliver, prevent fraud, limit frequency, and measure advertisements.

Where required, TruckBite uses Google User Messaging Platform to present advertising consent choices. On iOS, you may also receive an App Tracking Transparency request before an advertising identifier may be used for tracking. You can revisit available advertising choices from the profile page.

You can decline tracking or certain advertising purposes without losing access to TruckBite. The availability and type of ads may change based on your choices.

8. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information in the following cases:

  • With service providers that help operate the app

  • When information is part of a public food truck profile

  • When required by law, regulation, legal process, or government request

  • To protect the rights, safety, and security of users, truck owners, the app, or others

  • In connection with a business transfer, merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

  • With your consent or at your direction

9. Data Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the app, maintain records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations.

You may request deletion of your account or certain information by contacting us. Some information may need to be retained if required for legal, security, fraud prevention, or business record purposes.

10. Your Choices

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to:

  • Access your personal information

  • Correct inaccurate information

  • Delete certain information

  • Withdraw consent

  • Disable location access

  • Disable notifications

  • Review available advertising privacy choices

  • Request a copy of your information

  • Object to or limit certain processing

You can manage some permissions through your device settings.

11. Account Deletion

When an account is deleted, we may delete or anonymize account-related information unless we need to retain certain information for legal, security, fraud prevention, or legitimate business purposes.

Truck owner profile information that has been publicly listed may need to be reviewed separately before removal.

Deleting a TruckBite account does not cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. Subscribers must cancel store billing separately. Listing and subscription records may be retained where needed for financial, fraud-prevention, dispute, legal, or operational purposes.

12. Children's Privacy

TruckBite is not intended for children under 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

13. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Users are responsible for keeping their account login information secure.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we update it, we will revise the "Last updated" date above.

Your continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised Privacy Policy.
